Based in the Midwest, Luke Geraty is reaching hip hop fans and many others with his emotionally charged music dealing with the life issues we all face but sometimes have a hard time discussing. He has created quite a buzz in the hip hop world with his extensive touring, past releases, and engaging his internet fan-base.
You may have caught him on other projects as C-Style or Absolute. However, since he is so dedicated to keeping it real, he decided to use his real name from here on out. One thing you will note once you get the chance to meet this lyricist is that he gets you laughing right away. He comes from a family consisting of a mom, dad, and five – count em – five sisters.
The family lived a life of vagabonds-meaning they traveled a lot. He was born in Anchorage, Alaska and has made his home in Colorado, Wisconsin, and California (long walks on the beach, dope beats, Carne Asada burritos from La Posta, more dope beats), but he currently resides in Minneapolis, Minnesota (its a college thing).
He has been involved in the hip hop culture his whole verbal life but started taking it seriously when he was 11. He has performed with many different groups, including Mos Def, Common, Macy Gray, the Roots, Fugees, Flip Mode Squad, Goodie Mob, Tongue Twista, Wu Tang Clan, LL Cool J, De La Soul, and many more.
He enjoys sports; Especially hockey and basketball both of which he has been playing his whole life, and tends to excel more than others. He is currently enrolled in North Central Bible University where he is found sleeping past class, sleeping in class, and sleeping after class. After all, he is a growing boy who needs a lot of sleep and he tends to stay up late creating gems for his up and coming album.
